Cafe opens with Soup and Seafood Chowder Fundraiser

bay cafe website

Another year is upon us at the Bay St Lawrence Community Centre when the Cafe opens tomorrow.

Lots of exciting things planned for the summer and we are kicking it off on Sunday June 30th with a Soup or Seafood Chowder fundraiser.

Beginning Monday the cafe will be open for eat-in or take-out 7 days per week 8am-4pm.

We’ve added new items and kept several of the favourites.

Other exciting news is we will be launching a new website and facebook page where you can follow the daily happens and special at the cafe separate from teh Community Centre.

Watch for that!

RIP Zachary

Well this is hard but I guess it is my turn to say something about Zachary, not unlike his mom and his sister who have worked here in Bay St Lawrence over the past several years we at the centre had the privilege of working with this young man for 5 months this past winter and spring.

Zachary was a true gentleman and for a young man of 21 that is sometimes hard to find in 2013, with his coworkers being 8 ladies there were conversations poor Zachary would be more then embarrassed about his face turned red more then once and we often laughed how he could charge us with harassment at times.

Joanne, Paul, Trish and Felicia know that we are thinking of you all at this time and thinking about our coworker Zachary with a smile on our faces and a broken heart.
